Worth the detour
We came for two nights on the way south and stayed four. The hammam alone justifies the trip. Ask for a Garden Room if you like being able to walk straight outside in the morning.

The room we did not want to leave
Third floor, shutters open, and the harbour doing its thing all afternoon. Breakfast in the garden every morning — cooked, not a buffet, which turns out to matter more than I expected. The staff remembered how we take coffee by the second day.

The Classic Twin is compact — that is fair enough at the price and it is on the quiet side, which we appreciated. Everything else was faultless.

Beds you sink into, water pressure that works, and staff who look at you when they speak. Not complicated, just done properly.

Everything was lovely. The only thing I would mention is that the lift is slow at breakfast time — a small price for a building this old.
